CME was founded in early 2004 following the group’s decision to concentrate the commercial activities in a separate entity to its sister companies, namely Master Alloys Caroni, C A and Paramount Marine Services.

Master Alloys Caroni, C A established in 1990, is now dedicated to the sales and marketing activities associated with the raw materials and technology including engineering services and equipment to the aluminium industry.  Its sister company, Paramount Marine Services, founded in 1998, is responsible for the logistical activities of the group.

CME has successfully established a high profile commercial network that offers an essential support to the Asian steel producers so they can access the international minerals market for iron ore pellets and concentrates, from the Venezuelan mining and metallic producers.
